Parish Walks

There are 10 Kirkburton Parish Walks, which are all between 4 and 6 miles long, and are set within a village in the parish of Kirkburton.  On each walk you will find a guidestoop modelled on an old directional post, and depicting some feature of the village.  The guidestoops are also engraved with a Crown to mark the Queen's Diamond Jubilee in 2012.

Each walk features a real historical character from the village, who leads the walker around the route.

Details, maps and historical information are to be found here

Paper copies of the leaflets can be obtained free of charge from the local libraries and from the Parish Council office.

The walks are currently undergoing a refresh as Councillors check that the routes and leaflets are still correct.  If you have any views on any of the walks or would like to help with checking them out, please get in touch with Emma on
